The selected Oporto urban area involves a lot of different scenarios: the Oporto Music House (Rem Koolhaas) back quarter, the connection of the Metropolitan Station (Eduardo Souto Moura) to the Music House, the enclosure of the roundabout garden Mouzinho de Albuquerque (Siza Vieira + Souto Moura). But also the vast warehouses zone, the out of scale Norte Shopping, the complex traffic circulation, the obsolete infrastructures and enormous city voids. After a site analysis, group discussions and defined urban strategy, the task was to divide up to each one an area in order to develop, mainly, the relation of the street with the proposed buildings. The proposal for the selected area was mainly hybrid buildings that should be mold by the city transformations and inhabitants requirements. The many hybrid buildings sections is not only an analysis of the possible program variations, but also a search for the potential relation of the different levels between street and edifice, inside and outside.
