The goal of this work was to project a new family house and a work studio, inside a old storage shed located between two habitations. The main concept was to project a dynamic element that goes through the storeroom, defining and organizing all the necessary levels and rooms, and being visible in all the generated rooms . This element defines not only the inside spaces, but also exceeds the house bounderies, beeing visible from the outside and bringing more light to the interior. One of the project premisses was that the element should be in wood, therefore the client, as a carpenter, could build it himself. So, and in order to achieve a more current image, we suggested the conjugation of two kinds of wood colours with a pattern design, and therefore playing with shadows and textures, creating a more interesting and unique element.
